Razor-sharp improvisation-comedy show and great food. This combination has sold out shows for almost fourteen years at the historical Leidseplein. It has since become the most successful comedy theater in Holland. (English language only)
The show is fast paced and exciting. No cabaret, no stand-up, no theater, but an energetic mix of sketches and pure improvisations. The actors get suggestions from the audience and turn them into scenes, plots and jokes that are topical, funny and different every night. Half of the show is pure improvisation and the other half consists of written sketches. The incredibly quick and witty improvisations are the trademark of Boom Chicago. Besides the actors, the creative force consists of a live-musician, live-internet improvisations and video. A Boom Chicago show is dynamic and unique in the world.
For a complete night out start with drinks in the Boom Bar. Before and after the show you can enjoy a delicious dinner (see below) with fabulous deserts and drinks served at your table. Boom Chicago is a fantastic night out.

Here are our personal comments: "The way they could combine technical and graphic props, with quick thinking and good writing to match ad lib suggestions from the audience was ingenious. Good portions of food from interesting creative recipes and excellent friendly service set the tone for an evening of unforgettable comedy. This evening of interactive entertainment was definitely a highlight of our trip. We will return to Boom Chicago on our next trip to Amsterdam."

Dinner and seating starts at 6:30 PM (6:00 Pm on Saturdays.) Show starts at 8:15 PM (7:30 and 10:30 PM on Fridays & Saturdays). Important: Discounts apply Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday the discounts apply to the second show only. (10:30 PM - show only). Every person requires a Europe Travel Pass to receive the special savings.
